Yahoo! strengthen DFS and sportsbook with BetMGM partnership

Yahoo! Sports, a media platform owned by Verizon Media, has just added several new features to its daily fantasy sports (DFS) and sportsbook products via an existing partnership with BetMGM.

Under the agreement, the Yahoo! Sportsbook will simplify its registration and on-boarding experience between BetMGM and the Yahoo! Sports app. It will also add a new player prop odds option to Yahoo! Fantasy.

BetMGM, the joint venture between GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts, agreed in October last year to supply the Yahoo! Sports sportsbook product. Under the multi-year deal, Yahoo! Sports will agree to launch real-money sports betting on its app in regulated states in the US. All transactions will be done through the BetMGM app.

The extended agreement will enable Yahoo! Sports customers to now use their Yahoo! Login to register and sign in to their BetMGM account. Those who have a BetMGM account are now allowed to place bets with BetMGM, without the need to download the BetMGM app.

Yahoo! Fantasy users will now be able to access player prop odds on the players tab and player card in the Yahoo! Fantasy appp, including a number of locations online. Customers can place equal bets on the BetMGM platform.

BetMGM will also introduce a unique player prop adds based on fantasy point totals, which it claims will strengthen Yahoo!’s fantasy scoring system.
