Bitcon sportsbook Sportsbet.io has signed a deal to become the English Premier League football club Arsenal’s official betting partner.
The agreement, which will run for three years covering the 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2022-23 seasons, will focus more on creating exclusive experiences for Arsenal fans and Sportsbet.io customers around the globe.
The deal will also have Sportsbet.io gain access to Arsenal’s men and women’s teams to come up with digital content for fans and supporters across the club’s digital platforms.
Sportsbet.io will also work together with Arsenal to expand women’s football in Estonia, where the operator is based. This means Arsenal coaches will run training sessions for Estonia’s under-19’s national women’s team.
Sportsbet.io and Arsenal will also work together on several social responsibility initiatives and promote safe and responsible gambling as well.
“Signing a three-year deal with Arsenal, one of the most celebrated teams in the world, is a huge venture and something we are all very excited about,” Tim Heath, founder of Coingaming Group, Sportbet.io’s parent company, said.
“We are confident that with Arsenal’s drive to innovate the sports industry, together with our own drive to innovate the gambling and crypto space, this is the perfect team for us,” he added.
Peter Silverstone, Arsenal commercial director also commented on the deal, saying:
“We will work together and explore the different ways we can leverage our combined expertise and Arsenal’s huge global reach to set a new standard in delivering experiences and content to our fanbase and Sportsbet.io customers worldwide.”
This deal will further expand Sportbet.io’s presence in the Premier League, after the operator announced last month that it will be sponsoring Southampton FC for the 2020-21 season. The operator also sponsors Watford, although that team plays in the second tier Championship, after it was relegated to from the top division in 2019-20.
