Oceanic esports tournament organizer and broadcasting media company LetsPlay.Live (LPL) has partnered with Riot Games to become the official broadcast partner for 2021’s VALORANT Oceania Tour.

For the very first time, VALORANT players in the Oceanic region can compete for an opportunity to play at the international level. The tournament which starts in February will be played in three stages – Stage 01, Stage 02, and Stage 03. Per stage concludes with a Regional Finals, which in turn ends with the Oceania championship.

Each stage offers a $10,000 AUD which will be divided among the top eight teams. Additionally, the Oceania Championship will have an additional prize pool of $20,000 AUD, which raised a combined prize pool of $50,000 AUD ($38.1K USD).

According to the initial announcement, the 2021 VALORANT Oceania Tour will “serve as the official pathway” for players in the region to qualify into the combined NA + OCE Last Chance Qualifier. This allows competitors to qualify for the VALORANT Global Championship.

As a result of this partnership, LetsPlay.Live will be responsible for registration, operations, and production at every stage of the regional competitive play. This includes running the Oceania Championship.
