Nissan’s foray into the world of gaming may go beyond the occasional car racing simulation. The popular Japanese automaker has joined together with FaZe Clan and OpTic Gaming to design three “esports gaming chairs” based on (what else?) three of its most iconic cars.
The GT-R Nismo, touted as a “Performance chair”, features a think carbon fiber shell, racing seat shape, Nismo leather and audio system that’s built-in directly into the headset. On the other hand, the Armada chair is similar to the SUV in the way that it offers extra-comfy lumbar support, comes in posh leather, and features its own climate control. Meanwhile, the Leaf chair echoes the EV with its USB charging port and eco-friendly materials.
The Japanese automaker doesn’t have plans to build the chairs at the moment. This is because it’s still trying to gauge public reaction to the seats. They recently ran a twitter poll to find out which furniture people would be most interested in. The GT-R chair appears to be the most popular concept by far. If Nissan ever decides to produce any of these chairs, it’s going to be a big hit among gaming enthusiasts all over the world.
