The New York State Gaming Commission reported a month-on-month increase in sports betting revenue for the month of March, despite the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic’s impact on the state’s market.
Sports betting revenue at the state’s four commercial casinos amounted to $99,514 last month, up from a $179,593 loss in February, which was a record low for the state. The figure for March was the second-lowest monthly total recorded. Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady claimed top spot in the market on March, making around $81,883 in sports betting revenue, compared to February’s $38,802 loss.
The del Lago Resort and Casino, which manages a DraftKings-powered sportsbook and led the market in February, recorded $53,861 in revenue, down from the previous month’s revenue of $98, 247.
