MGM to reopen Las Vegas casinos by June 4

MGM Resorts International recently announced its plans to reopen its casinos in Las Vegas by June 4, in accordance to the measures laid out by Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak.

Among the casinos that are set to reopen this next week are the MGM Grand Las Vegas, The Bellagio, New York-New York, and the Signature. However, all amenities at the aforementioned venues will be limited due to the ongoing novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

According to the MGM, its casinos will be operating in line with its seven-point safety plan, introduced earlier this month to guarantee the safety not only of customers but employees as well.

Key points include screening staff, conducting temperature checks and Covid-19 specific training. Staff and employees are also required to wear face masks and proper social distancing measures are enforced across casino sites. Plexiglass barriers will also be installed in places where physical distancing is not possible.
