UK-based lottery betting operator Lottoland recently launched a new charity scratchcard game in order to raise funds for The British Red Cross humanitarian charity.
The digital scratchcard is only available to play on the Lottoland UK website. It boasts of a £50,000 top prize (or $62,107).
Each scratchcard is worth £1, and 20p of each stake will be donated directly to the British Red Cross.
“As a business, we are always looking for ways to offer our customers more choice through our games and lotto product,” Nigel Birrell, Lottoland chief executive, said.
“This scratchcard is something we are delighted to be offering, by providing an option for those who want to play for a chance to win, as well as supporting a good cause,” he added.
Anna Lovell, head of corporate partnerships for the British Red Cross, added:
“We are delighted to be launching this digital scratch card with Lottoland. Their support alongside all our partners means we can continue our vital work to reach and protect the most vulnerable people during times of crisis.” Lottoland also launched its first charity lottery game, in the for of Win-Win Charity Lotto, in the UK last month. The game boasted of a fixed jackpot of £250,000 for each draw, and will be used to raise funds for the British Red Cross, as well as Keep Britain Tidy, The Marine Conservation Society and Hospice UK.
