B2B sports betting services provider Kambi Group has just signed an exclusive multi-year deal with the Belgian National Lottery’s (Loterie Nationale) Scooore brand.
Under the deal, Kambi will provide Scooores with its sports betting solutions across both the latter’s online and retail offerings.
The Scooores brand, launched in 2012, operates in more than 300 retail sports betting locations all over Belgium. The brand also enjoys a well-established online presence in the country.
Kambi was able to score the supply agreement after an aggressive public tender procedure.
“Kambi’s accomplished record in digital retail, coupled with its flexible and scalable technology give us every confidence that this partnership will deliver engaging and enjoyable sports betting experiences for our players in both the online and on-property environments,” Jannie Haek, Loteri Nationale chief executive, said.
Kristian Nylén, Kambi chief executive, also commented saying:
“The lottery has ambitious plans to grow its sports betting footprint, and we look forward to helping to unlock those ambitions with the power and flexibility of the Kambi sportsbook.”
This deal comes after it was revealed this month that the amount of sanctions issued for compliance violations in the Belgian land-based gambling sector by the country’s Gaming Commission went up to 52 in 2019.
But, figures from the Loterie Nationale also showed the number of outlets sanctioned with liecnses being revoked fell year-on-year.
