ICE Asia goes digital after June event cancelled

ICE Asia will replicate Clarion Gaming’s ICE North America by becoming a digital show in 2020. This decision came after the in-person event scheduled for June this year was moved to May 2021.

As the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) continues to spread all over the world, face-to-face meetings have become virtually impossible. To fix this problem, Clarion Gaming and SiGMA decided to launch ICE-SiGMA Asia Digital. This will be an exclusively online event that will run from June 8-10. The event was originally scheduled to be held in Manila, Philippines.

The said event will be made up of three days of content centered on gaming in Asia, including local operators, thought leaders as well as industry experts. The event will cover topics including the future of gaming, technological innovations, and how the market can bounce back after the pandemic blows over.

It will also include several panel discussions and keynote presentations, as well as utilizing online networking platforms to enable attendees and participants to hold meetings and connections through video conference.

Meanwhile, the physical event has been rescheduled for May 21-28, 2021.

“My team and I continue to empathize with our global gaming community, as well as industries and supply chains around the world, that are being affected by Covid-19,” Kate Chambers, Clarion Gaming managing director said.

“We understand the deep impact the virus continues to have with our friends and colleagues across the Asia region and globally, and our best wishes go out to them,” she added.

Rethinking How We Live and Work

Chambers also said, “These are unprecedented times and we would like to keep our communication channels open and understand the challenges unfolding across the Asian gaming community. If we can help in any way, I would be delighted to hear from the industry on my personal email: katechambers@clariongaming.com.”

Eman Pulis, SiGMA Group founder and chief executive, also added that the Covid-19 pandemic gave them “a unique opportunity to rethink how we live and work.”

“In line with SiGMA Group’s commitment to facilitating new business opportunities for key players in the global iGaming and emerging tech sectors, the digital conference will embrace the difficulties we are facing at a time when working together has never been more important,” he said.
