Hyatt Hotels and Ocean Casino Resort Cut Ties

The Ocean Casino Resort and Hyatt Hotels in Las Vegas have both decided to mutually end their partnership. This means that the Ocean Casino hotel is no longer affiliated with the Hyatt Hotels Corp.

According to the message on Hyatt’s website, Ocean Casino will “no longer be operated as a Hyatt-affiliated hotel or within the Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand.”

The casino also released a statement saying, “Due to our continued success, our hotel volumes no longer permit preferential booking for Hyatt Loyalty guests.”

“We are grateful to Hyatt for the impetus it gave us for our grand reopening and value Hyatt’s guests.” The casino added.

Based on the deal between the two companies, Ocean Casino Resort was listed among Hyatt’s collection of top international destinations.

Local media of Atlantic City reports Hyatt also owns Exhale Spa, a 32,000 square foot fitness and health club. It remains unclear whether or not the spa will continue to operate as a Hyatt-owned brand within Ocean.

Ocean Casino Resort Hotel has the highest average rate per occupied hotel room through the first nine months of 2019. This is according to data from the state Division of Gaming Enforcement.

The casino resort posted an occupancy rate of 99.6% with an average of $219.01 per occupied room in the third quarter of 2019.
