Fortune Pai Gow Poker is similar to the game Pai Gow Poker with an additional bonus bet. Players can bet any amount on the table, but with a minimum fortune bet of $5, they are fitted for envy bonus payout. Players receive an envy bonus if the other person at the table gets four of a kind or higher.
It is played with a total of 53 cards including Joker which can be a wild card that can be used as an ace or to form a straight or flush. Players make standard Pai Gow bets with a bonus bet to start the round. Players who bet $5 or more on the bonus will receive an “Envy” button that qualifies them for additional envy payouts on eligible hands. Each player is dealt seven cards face up, the dealer gets 7 cards face down.
The cards must arrange into two hands: a two-card hand and a five-card hand. The five-card hand must always be ranked higher than the two-card hand. For example, if you have a pair of aces and a pair of kings, you should place aces on your five-card hand. The joker can only be used to make a straight, flush, or straight flush, unless, it is an ace. So if you have a pair of queens and a joker, the joker cannot be used as a queen.
Once the hands are set, the dealer will flip over his cards and arrange them according to the House Way rules. Compare each hand with the dealer’s corresponding hand. The tie goes to the dealer. If you lose both hands, you lose your bet. If you win one and lose one, the bet is a push. If both of you win, you’ll even get cash minus a 5% commission.
You have the option to place a Fortune Bonus sidebet. It is paid out based on your seven cards no matter how you arrange them in your hand. If you placed a bet in Fortune sidebet at least $5, you will be eligible for the Envy Bonus if another player at the table places a hand of four of kind or better. Your hand and the dealer’s hand are not eligible to activate the envy bonus. If multiple players meet these criteria, some envy bonus will be awarded for each qualifying bet.
Moreover, 100% Progressive Payout will be activated by getting 7 card straight flush (with or without the joker). Additionally, 5 aces win 10% of your progressive jackpot.
