Virtual sports and betting provider Golden Race was granted certification as a betting B2B provider in South Africa for its online solution V4.
With the certification, issued by Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) Africa, the provider is now allowed to offer its online products and solutions in the jurisdiction, the largest in the continent.
Golden Race claims to be the leader in virtual sports within the Kenyan and Nigerian territories. According to the supplier, 8 out of 10 virtual bets are places through its products.
Its virtual products include virtual keno, 3D horse racing, 3D virtual football, and 24/7 live games.
Golden Race’s V4 online solution offers an extended games portfolio and and other updates to its features like a new back office.
The supplier went through significant expansion throughout 2020. After the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic broke out, the supplier was able to sign agreements with 100 new operators during the first three weeks of the crisis.
Online gaming, besides sports betting, remains prohibited in South Africa. The jurisdiction’s National Gaming Board issued a warning to operators in September reminding them that the only form of iGaming allowed in the country is sports betting. Virtual sports betting is also considered a legal form of sports betting.
