Genesis Global’s operating license was recently suspended by the GB Gambling Commission. The regulator will carry out a review of the online gambling operator’s activities.
The regulator explained that its review will focus more on the alleged violations of Global’s license, namely secion 116(2)(a) section 116(2)(c)(i)) of the Gambling Act.
Section 116(2)(a) explains that the GB Gambling Commission is allowed to review a gambling licensee if it has a reason to suspect that “activities may have been carried on, in purported reliance on the license but not in accordance with a condition of the license.”
The suspension is effective immediately, and Genesis has been instructed to stop activities on all of its websites in the UK while the review is ongoing.
Kassu.com, Casoola.com, Casinoplanet.com, Casinogods.com, Casinojoy.com, Genesiscasino.com, Peela.com, Sloty.com, Vegashero.com, and Spinit.com are all instructed to stop offering services to customers in Great Britain.
The Commission also told Genesis to allow players to access their accounts so they can withdraw funds. But they should also make clear that none of its websites will be accepting bets until further notice.
Genesis Global’s combined remote operating license includes real event betting, casino gambling activities, and virtual betting.
