Global Gaming Expo (G2E) Asia, a trade fair for the Asian gaming and entertainment industry, will be held in Venetian Macao on August 17-19 2021.
Instead of traditional dates of May, organizers Reed Exhibitions and the American Gaming Association said that “the August convening will allow exhibitors and attendees more time to plan for their participation in light of continued COVID-19-related commercial and travel restrictions.”
Macau is currently imposing restrictions from an overseas country wishing to enter the city as part of various local countermeasures against Covid-19.
G2E Asia 2020 edition has been postponed twice due to the pandemic, then dropped entirely from that year’s calendar. It has now been decided that August 2021 is the most suitable date for G2E Asia.
Organizers said in a statement: “Through ongoing consultation with our stakeholders and the Macau Government, Reed Exhibitions and the American Gaming Association determined that an August event provides the best opportunity to showcase the calibre of educational content and create the valuable marketplace that our industry has come to expect from G2E Asia,”
“We look forward to bringing the gaming community together at G2E Asia, as the industry continues to recover from the devastating impacts of COVID-19.”
