Sports betting platform Fox Bet recently announced that it will receive authorized sportsbook operator status from the NFL once the league approves official sportsbook operators for the US.
The agreement is part of a broker deal, which will have Fox Corporation (Fox Bet’s owner) be given digital and media rights to NFL for the next 11 years, up to 2033 season.
Aside from becoming an official sportsbook operator for the League, Fox Corporation will also extend its coverage of games and expand its digital rights.
Fox Bet also extends its rights to continue operating its free-to-play betting game, Fox Bet Super 6.
The NFL owns a one-time termination right for the deal, which includes the 2030-2033 seasons.
“This long-term agreement ensures that we will
continue to deliver the best in football coverage to our viewers while also strengthening
and providing optionality to our business,” Lachlan Murdoch, Fox executive
chairman and chief executive, said.
