Everi, FanDuel and BetMGM go live in Michigan

FanDuel Group, together with MotorCity Casino, launched a fully integrated, real money online gaming experience for Michigan residents and visitors on Friday. The FanDuel Sportsbook & Casino app, as well as the standalone FanDuel Casino app, are both available for iOS and Android.

FanDuel Group officials said, as a complement to the company’s popular fantasy sports app, customers in the state will now be able to use sportsbook, fantasy sports and casino winnings interchangeably between products.

Michigan is the tenth state where the sportsbook operator offers mobile sports betting. It joins West Virginia, New Jersey, Indiana, Colorado, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Illinois, Tennessee and Virginia. The online sports betting launch complements the innovative FanDuel Sportsbook at MotorCity Casino in Detroit that opened in March 2020.

Michigan is also the third state after Pennsylvania and New Jersey where FanDuel offers mobile casino games.

BetMGM also launched its own iGaming and sports betting app in Michigan, giving customers access to a wide range of betting options, and also access to benefits connected to MGM Grand Detroit and MGM Resorts’ iconic casino-resorts nationwide.

“Reaction to the opening of MGM Grand Detroit’s BetMGM Sportsbook and Lounge has been incredible. We’re thrilled to complement our retail offering with the launch of BetMGM mobile app in Michigan,” Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM CEO, said.

“Michigan sports fans can access our interactive sports betting platform and exclusive line of casino games directly from their phone. The Wolverine State now has new ways to engage with the teams they love, while earning rewards from their gameplay,” he added.
