Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) has just launched a new outdoor gaming patio on the south side of Derby City Gaming, the only licensed land-based gaming establishment in Louisville, Kentucky.
The 8,000 sq. ft outdoor space boasts of 225 historical racing machines (HRMs), which brings the venue’s number of machines to a total of 1,225.
“The existing patio at Derby City Gaming has been an extremely popular location for our guests,” Austin Miller, senior vice president of gaming operations for CDI, said.
“This additional patio will provide our guests with more machines, more space, and an abundance of fresh air to enjoy while playing at Derby City Gaming. This new amenity is unlike any other in the market and I am excited for our guests to experience it,” he added.
The world-famous Kentucky Derby, CDI’s flagship event, celebrated its 146th edition on September 5th after it was postponed from its original date of May 2, 2020.
