The Netherlands Online Gambling Association (NOGA) has named betting and gaming operator Betway as the newest member of its association. This announcement comes before the launch of the country’s regulated iGaming market next year.
Betway joins Betsson Group, bet365, Entain, Flutter Entertainment, Dazzletag, and Kindred Group as members of the NOGA.
According to the NOGA, it plans to add more new members in the coming months, before the launch of online gambling in September 2021.
“Betway is one of the world’s leading providers of premium entertainment in sports betting, casino and esports betting; we look forward to the experience that Betway will bring to our association,” Peter-Paul de Goeij, NOGA chief executive, said.
“We also see it as a clear sign that more and more operators are seeing the benefit of joining NOGA in the run-up to the opening of the online market in the Netherlands,” he added.
Meanwhile, Betway’s director of compliance and regulatory affairs, Roger Parkes, commented:
“Betway is committed to providing its customers with a safe and entertaining leisure activity and is confident that NOGA will support the industry and reassure the regulator leading to a successful regulated Dutch market.”
Online gambling in Netherlands was initially scheduled to launch on January 1, 2021, in line with the country’s new Remote Gambling Act. However, in November last year, the Kansspelautoriteit (KSA) pushed back the launch date to July 1, 2021.
