Sports betting and casino company BetMGM, operated via a joint venture by GVC Holdings and Roar Digital, has signed a new commercial deal with the National Football League (NFL) franchise the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Under the agreement, BetMGM will become the team’s first gaming partner and work with the Steelers and a number of fan-focused initiatives.
This includes acting as a presenting sponsor for the Steeler’s Kickoff pre-game show, and also organizing a sweepstakes competition, giving fans the opportunity to win numerous prizes, like club level season tickets, and team merchandise.
BetMGM will also gain from gameday media and weekly media placements, this includes a radio spot with the Steelers programming, as well as a television ad run during head coach’s Mike Tomlin’s press conferences.
The deal follows after BetMGM was able to secure a license to offer online casino and sports betting in Pennsylvania just recently. While waiting for regulatory approval, the operator plans to go live in the state before the year ends.
