Roar Digital has just announced today that mobile sports betting will now be available in the state of West Virginia. This latest development is credited to a deal struck between GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts International.
BetMGM is a new sports betting app that was officially and successfully launched in West Virginia today. The app allows residents in the Mountain State to place bets on sports.
The announcement was made together with The Greenbrier, a luxury resort that’s owned by the Justice Family Group. The said resort has been offering casino gambling from 2008 and horse race betting from 2013.
“We are pleased to be operating in West Virginia and partnering with the Greenbrier, a historic grand hotel and one of the most storied landmarks in the United States,” Scott Buerta, President of Interactive Gaming for MGM Resorts, said.
“Sports betting represents a significant opportunity for the MGM Resorts-GVC joint venture; we look forward to it bringing our best-in-class mobile technology to additional states where mobile gaming is approved,” he added.
BetMGM is known for its advanced and sophisticated mobile sports betting facilities. It provides customers with live sports streams and a wide range of A-Z sports such as the NHL, NBA, and Football.
“We know the passion for sports in West Virginia, which is why we’re launching BetMGM with the very best features and promotions already up and running. West Virginians will notice the care we’ve put into making this a mobile betting experience for die-hard sports fans and novices alike,” Adam Greenblatt, CEO of Roar Digital (a partnership between GVC Holdings and MGM Resorts International) said.
Meanwhile, Dr. Jill Justice, President of The Greenbrier, expressed his delight at the partnership, saying, “We are thrilled that BetMGM is coming to West Virginia and couldn’t be any prouder that this tremendous brand is launching at The Greenbrier. West Virginia sports fans are going to love this app as much as they love visiting us here at America’s Resort.”
