Leading online sportsbook operator BetMGM has secured a strategic partnership with the Casino del Mar at La Concha—its first market access agreement outside of the US mainland.
Under the deal, the sports betting and online gaming entity will expand its retail and mobile sports betting offerings to Puerto Rico, pending regulatory approvals.
“This marks a major milestone for BetMGM, as we share plans to bring our sports betting platform outside of the US mainland for the first time,” Adam Greenblatt, BetMGM CEO, said.
“La Concha Resort is an ideal partner, and together we look forward to bringing BetMGM’s retail and mobile sports betting experiences to sports fans across Puerto Rico,” he added.
As part of the deal and pending regulatory approvals, BetMGM will offer both retail and mobile sports betting, with the launch of a retail sportsbook at the San Juan-based beach resort as well as the launch of the BetMGM mobile app all over Puerto Rico.
BetMGM and La Concha Resort both plan to offer sports betting serices as soon as the regulated market resumes in the region.

Meanwhile, Orlando Rivera Carrión, Puerto Rico Gaming Commission executive director, commented:
