Gibraltar-based online gaming operator 888 Holdings has signed an agreement with Genius Sports Group’s Betgenius. The deal would have the operator cooperate in launching a pre-match and in-play content for 888sport betting brand in multiple markets.
According to the agreement, Betgenius will be providing data and pricing services across several sports. This means the supplier will also provide pricing for sports such as tennis, basketball, football, and volleyball, including official data for more than 300 competitions.
The agreement will also have the supplier integrate its automated accumulator product BetBuilder into 888Sport’s offering.
The deal follows after 888 starts mitigating its sportsbook offering to the BetBright platform it acquired in a £15 million deal back in March 2019.
“As 888 takes further control of its sportsbook with the move to a new platform, offering the right content and trading strategy is a huge opportunity to differentiate in every market,” Jack Davison, Genius Sports Group chief commercial officer, said.
“It’s a testament to the quality of official data and flexible technology that 888 has selected BetGenius to be part of that journey,” he added.
Meanwhile Guy Cohen, 888 Holding’s senior vice president and head of B2C, explained that the operator was “delighted” to work together with Betgenius.
According to Cohen, the supplier’s technology would help improve its sportsbook offering through “high quality and wide-ranging in-play and pre-match data and contet.”
“We look forward to developing our relationship in the coming months,” Cohen added.
