AB Trav och Gallopp operated online casino brand ATG Casino will be adding bingo to its online offering.
“We are launching bingo to broaden our range and to be able to offer our customers a soft and social product where you can turn for both an exciting and relaxing moment,” Maria Allmér, ATG head of casino, said.
The launch will feature classic 75- and 90- ball bingo games, and also include the faster-paced Bingo Blast. It will also give players several chances at winning extra-large jackpot prizes.
The casino will be operating several bingo rooms simultaneously, with some of them operating round-the-clock, and others operating under more limited hours.
As a huge number of ATG’s customers play in mobile format, the games will be adapted for mobile use.
Back in August, ATG revealed that the international shutdown of professional sports improved its core horse racing business in the first six months of 2020. Revenue for the six months to June 30 went up by 33.2% year-on-year to SEK 3.06 billion ($348.2 million). From this number, gaming revenue made up about SEK 2.54 billion.
The contribution from horse race betting went up by 19.0% to SEK 2.18 billion, while online casino revenue went up by 50.0% year-on-year to SEK 207 million.
Despite the increase, gross gaming revenue (GGR) for Sweden, as a whole, saw a 4.1% decline to SEK 5.94 billion in the second quarter of 2020, as a 3.6% increase on online gambling was not enough to cancel out the effects of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) imposed shutdowns on the land-based casino sector.
