The Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission or ESBK, Switzerland’s gambling regulator, has just added 35 more websites to its blacklist of unlicensed gambling operators.
The ESBK and the Inter-Cantonal Lotteries and Betting Commission (Comlot) each published a list of companies banned from operating in the country in September last year. These lists are regularly updated with new sites.
As per Article 86 of the Geldspielgesetz, the ESBK is allowed to ask internet service providers to block access to platforms that are unlicensed but accessible in Switzerland. This is done through a domain name server lock.
The latest ESBK list update now contains145 websites, including a couple of new names such as Magik.casino, Scratchmania.com, Winorama.com, Bitstarz.com, Goldenuro.com, and Eclipsecasino.com.
Other new names added in the updated blacklist include Gratorama.com, Luckyredcasino.com Euromooncasino.com, and Uniquecasinovip.com.
The 35 new websites join several major gambling operators that were included in earlier phases of the blacklist, including bet-at-home, bet365, Intertops, Interwetten, and Pinnacle.
Comlot also released an update of its blacklist last month where it added 10 more sites including Coinbet24.com, Buff.bet, Bahigo178.com, Allsport365.com and Cryptobet.com.
